What is the best book guide to the Philippines?

I really want to buy a great travel book on teh philippines. The reviews for the Rough Guide and Lonely Planet books were awful. So, which company makes the best travel book for the philippines?

2. I'll agree that the Lonely Planet book is pretty good. I have a copy, and it has very good information. Now, it's not a book you just sit down to read for pleasure, but if you're wanting to get ideas of things to do, approximate prices, what kind of transportation is available, and a short review of many things, then it is a great book.
