How do you make Manila palms grow faster?

I know that mother nature needs to work her magic but is there anything I can do to help my manila palms grow faster? If your answer is fertilizer, do you recommend a specific brand.

1. Palms are notorious slow growers (most of them) so you may have to be patient. It would seem that the Manila palm (christmas palm) is suseptible to a lethal yellowing disease. They are not a native species to the US. See site below for info.
2. Manila Palms are quite slow starters.... but if you have them established in th ground... you are not far from haing a ful grown manila palm.... mostly organic fertilizers work best with Manila Palms...
